Please contact Support via email support@getdbt.com if you continue to experience issues connecting to Snowflake via key-pair authentication while using version 1.5 and above.

Update - We’ve received several reports of jobs erroring out with the message “Could not deserialize key data. The data may be in an incorrect format, it may be encrypted with an unsupported algorithm, or it may be an unsupported key type (e.g. EC curves with explicit parameters).’, [, ])”. We are currently investigating this issue and will keep you update on our progress.
